Inspired by the Sinan console table, here is the Sinan coffee table.
A change in decoration, a change in proportion, a change of materials …. It’s not in the least bit similar and yet it has the same shape! That’s the magic of design.
The base is made from natural oak as I wanted to evoke the elegance and strength found in the design of roof timbers in old buildings. In particular, I was thinking of the beautiful roof of Notre Dame de Paris that is in the process of being restored.
A precious framework nevertheless with cut sides creating an elaborate set of facets. In the middle, a dazzling golden ember tray of blonde Mica marquetry, protected by glass, like a framed work of art.
