Thebes I in straw and shagreen is a new tribute to Jeanne Lanvin by Nicolas Aubagnac.
The inspiration for this lamp is derived from a lavish evening coat designed in 1931 by this famous fashion designer. The avant-garde architectural cut to this article of clothing inspired the choice of large sun motifs for the lamp. The golden lame fabric and over-stitched silk lead Nicolas Aubagnac to choose a straw marquetry with its changing colours that resemble fabric. A Haute Couture detail: the base of the lamp is crowned with a precious border of Shagreen.
